I bred Yorkshire Terriers for many years, even before I met my husband. Some years ago, we took in a German Shepherd and he changed our life. They are an amazing and intelligent animals. I am always surprised at how quickly they learn and how alert they are. My daughters go out to play and our dogs are right behind them. It makes my heart melt when I look out the window at my girls playing on their swings and I see our dogs relaxing in the shade close by. They keep us young, tho. Our sire, Hondo, likes to nonchalantly grab a pile of laundry I just folded and walk away with it. Or grab one of my daughters' stuffed animals. Just to get our attention! Watching our dogs playing together is amusing, to say the least. The tricks they play on each other keeps us laughing. Our "Kennel" isn't really a kennel at all. Our dogs are living it up inside with us.
